Impressions:

I thought about complimenting it on placing the flashback at the start of the episode between arcs instead of in the middle of things like every other show has been doing lately, but then again, why was it even necessary at all? They could have skipped the first twenty minutes and lost… what, exactly? And after the start of “Hey, these two have a past” it takes fifteen minutes to get to the surprise development of… “And they meet each other at the school!” One would think that would go without saying, especially how they… you know… show her transfering in partway through, but can’t move too fast, guys!  

The rest of the content was spent mostly on them sitting around a table making a team. I’ve got an idea. Why don’t we just use the only named characters? Or perhaps the only characters in the OP? Yes, they used something so obviously foregone that it was clear from the promo art three months ago to pad that out to fill the rest of the episode, although yet another recycled bit of “naked sword in bed” helped too. Good work, guys.
