The Annihilated City #09 — The Backstory Nobody Asked For

Awesome. More flashbacks.
Impressions:
It's unclear to me what's worse about this episode, how unneeded it is or how banal it is. It's 100% a flashback about Yuki's parents. You know, the characters that have for all intents and purposes not existed at all in the show to this point. Well, if we're getting their backstory, they must be coming with some heavy reveals about The Evil Organization they worked for or about Yuki/Souma, right? Of course not. Her mom was a cafeteria worker. Her dad was one of the head researchers. And… that's it. Wasn't even going for a Kingpin-in-Spiderverse backstory of him futzing around with parallel worlds to try to bring her back from her offscreen death. He learned to care from having a family, and… now you know his entire schtick.
Christ. Are we really three episodes from the end of this season? For all these shows?

The Phantom
The only backstory I want is the one that shows Yuki’s naked ass.
