Izetta #07 — Pew Pew Pew

Did the Nazis always have laser cannons?

Impressions:

The first half was once again excrutiating in the same way this show always is; dull lifeless men sitting around a table and closeups of cleavage and girls coming within a tongue's length of succumbing to their barely restrained lust for each other. Which isn't to say that the second half was good, but it was better than the first half by orders of magnitudes. I think my favorite part was how one bomb blew up behind her, and she was immediately covered head to toe in scuff marks, although the AA guns going into full Star Wars laser pew pew was up there too. I was also a fan of her sudden utter lack of all momentum somehow when her magic gave out. Bouncing the bomb off the ship and it not exploding was a nice touch too. Basically, I probably could've enjoyed the action a bit more if they weren't constantly taking me out of it by being ridiculous. In a show about a magic girl struggling against basically one guy in a plane to drop a bomb on an immobile carrier.

seems like the follow the path of exploit Izetta’s “weakness”. seems like they found something. also this air carrier was the Germany only one “Zeppelin”, but was never completed so it did not saw any action in real life, in the end it ended as spare parts ship

also, they should have given Izetta, the Bunker breakers they used to sink the Tirpitz. not Torpedos..

I miss the days when the director was doing kung fu dinosaur stuff.

  • OverMaster says:

Laser cannons? I think there’s absolutely no kind of weapon and equipment fiction hasn’t given to Nazis at some point or another, from jetpacks to the Lance of Longinus.
