From Entis Soft comes a surprisingly good looking Ikaruga clone called HAYABUSA. I’m… uh… not really sure what else to say about it! It looks a lot easier than Ikaruga, and I have no idea where there seems to be a Space Cube-Hatsune Miku attacking, but hey… that’s par for the course for Japanese doujin stuff. I do like seeing giant impressive bosses in these shooters instead of the usual little girl sprites at least.
Area Zero (formerly Fly Systems, developers of Magical Battle Arena) finally put out a PV for their upcoming game, Touhou Sky Fight. It’s not the MBA clone I was expecting, but looks like a really fun little arcade brawler of sorts. I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of all the voicing choices, unlike MBA’s, which were pretty spot-on. At least the music’s still awesome.
