Did we actually leave it?

Impressions:

You know, last week's next episode preview contained the shot that ended this episode. When your teaser for the next episode is the teaser for the episode after that, something has gone exceptionally wrong with the pacing. Although that would imply that this show's pacing had ever gone right, which would also be something of a lie. And as I bemoaned last episode, we of course go straight to Miorine reassuring Suletta's bruised ego that she is indeed the center of the entire known world. They had zero interactions with each other in between this spat, and absolutely nothing happened. This is just nonsense. Sure, they realized that was the only important scene in the entire episode, so decided to actually animate it, but couldn't come up with anything, so here's some zero gravity parkour.

But even that was only a couple minutes of the episode. Until about minute 19, the rest was once again spent in the board rooms with dour old men threatening to one day will totally do something. We ended last episode with an imminent terrorist attack, so seeing all these idiots pulling guns only to immediately be cowed, and promising that there's definitely gonna be consequences… somehow… someday… while we're ignoring the consequences that we could be seeing now… get your damn priorities in order. Oh wait. We're off next week again. Look at that damn story go.
