Utawarerumono 2 #19 — In The Navy

Oh good. An entire episode about an uneventful trip from point A to point B.

Impressions:

Time to leave to go off to fight the war of Whoever vs Whatever, right? Wrong! It's time to go to the beach where the stupidest of the princesses will have her father's beard rubbed all over her. Ew. After this, we'll be stripping a bunch of burly sailors naked and scrubbing them. Then, we'll watch a girl vomit. But then we finally get off the ship and move to the battlefield, right? Wrong again! Watch the wacky antics of the giant bird chasing off after its tiger buddy, and then laugh at how they delivered more gay porn to that woman and then she blushed.

You know, I had heard that the game this is based on ends with basically an announcement of "Want to know the rest of the story? Better buy Utawarerumono 2 2 when it comes out, maybe next decade!" At this point, I'm thinking that the big 'twist' is going to be that this pack of imbeciles actually makes it to the battlefield.

    I love how this series doesn’t get anything right.
    First season was way too fast paced, and this one is just painful to watch.
    You don’t fix fast pacing by turning one game into two and filling one with nothing, you’re just making it worse.

    I was having trouble accessing the site earlier, I can only assume it was related to the internet just refusing to accept more commentary on this disaster.

    You know how Dagashi took the week off? Utawarerumono: The Faffening Aboutening can take six weeks off.

    when I saw palm trees I dreaded that it was a beach ep disguised as a plot ep, when they got on the ship I expected the whole ep to be about the ship but when they got off it halfway the ep I started having hope that something may happen.Im wondering if haku has any decoy commands with witch to make others obey him or anything.since the other team is basally trying to make things unpleasant enough for a retreat without having to fight, Im not expecting any real fighting.if I was not lazy I would have played the game by now.
