Was that supposed to be a punchline?

Impressions:

Christ. I didn’t even like the breathy wallflower squeaky glasses girls in Yuruyuri. Slamming another one in my face for about the first third of this show… a show that already lacked the same fun characters as Yuruyuri is just rubbing salt in the wound. At least the second glasses girl has a deeper voice so she’s only 50% as crappy. The animation budget also took a huge hit this week, taking with it almost all of the visual humor that didn’t fall into the category of "makes silly faces" or "shouts," the two pillars of Japanese comedy. And they, uh… talked about princess carries? The first half was slightly awful and I can’t say I cared for the characters in the second either.

Basically, I spent the entire episode annoyed that Symphogear wasn’t up yet and breathy wallflower socially inept glasses girls shoved down my throat with a chimney brush did not help my mood at all. Ugh. Thursday. What happened to your shows? You better not be awful too, Symphogear or we are going to have words.
