Golden Reverie † Cross and Miracle ☆ Party PVs

November 15th, 2011

I guess this is as good an excuse as any to get back into paying attention to the doujin game scene since Comiket’s approaching. Maybe this will tweak Witch Fighter DX into a better game, but I’m not holding my breath. Fanwank Black Battler just makes my brain ache. I think MBAACCPC will overshadow all other fighters anyway. Aquastyle’s putting out yet ANOTHER expansion/spinoff to their roguelike too, now with party mechanics. Elsewhere, Area-0’s announced anothe expansion to TSA with zero info, Werk’s off wasting their talent doing Im@s pornography, and Frontier Aja made the bombshell announcement that they’ll be selling… a calendar. Who knows, maybe that means that Freudenstachel will finally come out.

Hold on a second, what about the 360 game then? I find it wierd they’re releasing another entrance so close to the last one. And with a whole new lot of characters, IIRC.
But well, finally Dlanor’s in there, so I can be a happy man playing this thing. Let’s just hope the system is better balanced (for the special attacks make a bit more of damage).

Erika in a pirate hat. Haw haw haw.

Glad you got a character you liked in, Adanos!

Regarding Reverie, I’ll never understand why palette swaps are added to fighting games. Black Battler? Really? What sort of crapass backstory are they gonna have for that? ‘Battler, after being exposed to Chaos Mutagen…’

But at least MBAACCPC is going to kick ass. S’all good.

Black Battler is basically Battler-Culprit-Theory come to life. Read the TIP Forgery No.xxx for that…I translated that one pretty close after it was released.

      • Travis says:

Ah, but see, that’s just Battler – as the culprit. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have that be just having Battler selectable – and then having the ending change depending on who he fights? I don’t know, it doesn’t quite seem worth throwing in a retexture as a new character.

I mean, if I were going the Battler-Culprit theory, I wouldn’t change his character at all; it’s his doofy likability that is why people don’t suspect etc, and that’s more interesting than evil palette swap. I guess, in my opinion. It just seems… Too easy? Something.

Anyway, thanks for translating that; it’s awfully good of ya. Translating is undersung work so let me just say thanks – it isn’t said enough.

This is an append disc that requires the original game, according to its website, though it appears it will cost the same 3150 yen as the original did.

And re “Who knows, maybe that means that Freudenstachel will finally come out.”
Not at C81 anyway it seems; a recent blog entry on their site says it won’t be finished. They show a new screenshot every week or so though so it does seem to be progressing.
