Impressions:

What a boringly strange episode. Which is still better than a strangely boring episode, though it was a lot of that too. It certainly didn't help that the episode was extra long and extra banal. It's already been loosey goosey with the OP, but this one was cut especially short, and the ED got sliced down to a single bikini explosion. Also, the elves here are clearly meant to take cultural design from the Ainu, but them all being in thick clothes and extra wide make these the bulkiest elves I think I've ever seen. Especially the ones in shoulder pads. 

Mostly, it was weird how it seemed to keep setting up the usual harem nonsense with overreactions and screaming and then… not. She's a half-elf and like every half-elf ever, experienced racism… whiiich will not be brought up at all and her entire extended family loves her. …Okay. The whole harem is just kinda… "Yeah, dude doesn't understand romance or sex at all." The elves are all "please, sleep with our crown princess, we insist." And him? He flatly just understands that he's supposed to pretend to be her boyfriend, agrees to it without drama, then runs off first to his MILF harem for advice, and then to take a bath with the boys. And some other random dude, who, once again, I have no idea if we're supposed to know who that was. And then a date where he wears ugly holiday hoodies while all the other princesses get mad about… I'm not even sure what. It feels like they were the only ones doing the harem slapstick, which was eventually reduced to a montage to replace the fanservice ED. This show's priorities continue to baffle.
