I know I said I'd do Suikoden, but I forgot it was an hour long episode one. I… think we'll save that for last then. Especially if it is indeed tolerable like the promos indicated, better to end on a high note with something to look forward to. I will also not be using the literal "Has Holes" translation of the title of this particular show. It… repels me.
Impressions:
There has to be at least one trashy fanservice show a season, and this one appears to be picking up the baton from that gross catgirl show from last season. Lots of fanservice, lots of genital abuse, weird animation style, suspiciously well animated for about five seconds, plenty of yelling. Admittedly, not quite as much as you'd expect in a 2026 anime comedy, which is to say that only half of the jokes are screamed violently. Or breasts/balls violently abused. Which I guess is fanservice? Also, not quite as gross, but that's a high bar to clear. Mostly more abstract for genuine attempts at humor, but sometimes just "hey, look, rabbits mating on some girl's chest. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
It hasn't shed its four panel heritage either. Neither in not bothering to draw the backgrounds or it resetting every 15 seconds after some character makes a 'silly' face or overreacts to something, usually censored fanservice or the deadpan character kneeing the green one in the groin. The green one's gimmick, by the way, is that it says they're a male, but they censor everything like they're a girl. Meta commentary. In any case, I can't say I cracked a smile, which is damning for a comedy, but it was far from the most obnoxious of its ilk that I've suffered through. It's a somewhat wackier and more violent version of that GoHands show from 15 years ago that inexplicably had like five seasons and two movies. Take that as you will.
