Oh boy, more pyramid charts.
Impressions:
This is Konami Studio's other inaugural show of the season, and I can already tell that their approach is to overanimate the hell out of one action scene that they can put in the promos and clock out for the rest. Being more reincarnation with cheat power schlock, it had an uphill battle to start with anyway. It does skirt some of the worst pitfalls. No status screens. No explicit numerical power levels. Nobody is being raped/saved from being raped.
At least right until it got into the whole crap about starring in a reality show. Which it felt like it needed to explain the concept of at very exhaustive length. Which, sure, is different from standard cheat power shlock, but no better for it. And then it hauled out another goddamned pyramid chart to explain the concept of societal caste ranking. Seriously? Did the pyramid chart illuminati take over the anime industry? Is this an MLM thing? Does anime not understand triangles? And then the episode unceremoniously ends, having introduced A.) She has cheat powers, and B.) She'll be starring a show about herself having cheat powers within the show of her having cheat powers. …Cool.
