Cheat Power Witch #01 — Literal Walls of Text
October 7th, 2026
So here's where all the status screens went.
Impressions:
Every season lately, I wonder "Will this be the one that breaks me? That I push through and find the runner's high of dealing with this cheat power garbage such that it is a rush to immerse yourself in it and roll around like a pig in slop. There must be some joy in eviscerating it, right?" And instead, I always end up simply exhausted, because it's mind poison. It's all the same thing over and over and over. Prompting me to write these fantastical aspirations, wishing either for a better world, or for a lobotomy. The latter seems far more likely.
IN ANY CASE, this opens with her nuking the countryside while yelling "I DID NOT WANT CHEAT POWER LIKE THIS. I WANTED A SLOW LIFE!" And just like that, I'm out. Okay, fine. I kept it up and gradually lowered the volume as she screamed and looked at status screens, then read out more status screens, then looked at some more status screens. But wait, there's also popups. It's like being on a 1996 Geocities page. The most distinguishing characteristic is that someone looked at Dragon Quest at some point and decided to use it as a shortcut for transitions. Great.
