What a patient monster.
Impressions:
I compared this to similar premises like Engage Kiss and Takt Op and I'll stick to that, but while they dazzled with music, fast pacing, and over the top action animation, this has… extremely jank CGI and very little of it. Hell, the big 'fight' is that a monster shows up, so they have a meeting right outside the room where it's patiently waiting for five straight minutes. Including a transformation scene that takes an entire minute on its own. It's not doing anything. Just sitting in there, groaning a bit. When they finally get around to 'fighting' it, the fight is that the protagonist has to hold an iPad and watch a number, waiting to hit a button. The monster is still just sitting there. Eventually, she realizes one of the settings is wrong, and they make a whole to-do about how difficult it is to… use an app. That's legitimately the big moment of triumph. Being able to use an iPad.
So the pacing is glacial, the action is garbage, and the animation non-existent. It's a failure of execution on every level. I would qualify that normally with a "just about" every level or something normally, but for the life of me, I'm not sure I can think of a single thing that this did well. Not had anybody nearly raped or molested? Great job, JC Staff. I remember when you used to at least be decent.
