Seven Skipblades #13 — More Montages, More Picnics

September 29th, 2023

What ever happened to that revenge, Junior?

Impressions:

So… we start with a flashback, then a picnic, then run into a random monster and have a spirited debate about killing it, only for a second randomer monster to show up and do that for the party which then needs to be dispatched. At this point, a montage of stills begin, going "Oh yeah, and there were a bunch of other random monsters they also fought." Why? Because it's time for another goddamned picnic, some more cookies, and to reminisce and have more flashbacks. Is this some kind of sick meta joke? People were paid for this.

I legitimately do not care at this point that there are still a couple more episodes technically left in this season. I'm done and out. On to the new season. It is meandering nonsense that is going nowhere and keeps flashing back to characters who I honestly could not even tell you their names nor relationship to literally anybody or anything going on because they have had approximately ten seconds of screentime to this point. Meanwhile, the protagonists are spending half of every episode having picnics in between quite literally random monsters spawning, which maybe they'll make a whole big deal about fighting, maybe they'll make a big deal out of NOT fighting, or maybe they'll just montage past it. What on god's earth is going on in this stupid thing's script?
