Mega Moose #11 — The Mustache Betrays!

…Who even was that guy?

I admit that I'm a little annoyed with the announcement that this will be getting a continuation season a year from now. This was one of the few shows this season that seemed to be moving towards something that might be called a conclusion of at least some sort. So much for that. I doubt I'll pick it back up for the next season, especially since the game was… apparently… uh… not well received so I imagine the budget is going to fall off a cliff.

Impressions:

And wait, his plan was to walk into the middle of the command room during an operation and shoot the person in command? Why was he even allowed in? What's with this place's security protocols? I guess at least he had an escape plan, wearing a magic bullet shield. Too bad he didn't think about… uh… someone tackling him. Also, did everybody know Afro-Boy was a cyborg? They all took him getting a bullet to the forehead in surprising stride. It's also never a great sign when they need to explain who the hell Mr. Mustachio even is.

I guess after unceremoniously ending the first gun-haver by going "Fine, shoot me," which disarmed him entirely, they had to shoot somebody, even if they needed to pull another NPC out of their ass entirely. It also does the annoying thing where it's stringing out whether she's actually dead or just can't keep her promise because now her alien secret is out and she won't be able to be commander until everybody comes together to tell her how much they believe in her. I frankly put even odds on both. If you're wondering why I've barely talked about the Princess side of the episode, it's because that was largely the one alien wolf dude yelling about how much of a stalker he is. The mech bits… continue to be quite the filler.
