It's been a long morning.

Impressions:

If you've been following my writing for any length of time, you know how I feel about screaming as a form of humor, and over the top reaction faces. So here's an episode primarily concerned with introducing a character who screams nonstop while constantly overreacting in the form of what the kids call "ahegao," drooling, eyes rolled back, tongue hanging out, orgasm faces. The most positive thing I can say about this is that at about eight minutes into the episode, they started writing her out of the episode, and she was completely gone by the halfway point.

I suppose the continued move here away from the emotional bit that was the only real strength of the first episode is also why I'm cutting that stupid assassin thing more slack than I should. Neither of these shows are living up to what they did well to start and are instead indulging in their weaknesses, whether it's the garbage premise or screaming and making stupid faces. Both would be drastically improved by the pacing existing in any way and having the barest minimum of structure. And both are on very thin ice with me.
