BEM #11 — Kangaroo Court
October 8th, 2019
When Phoenix Wright is looking like a more realistic depiction of a court, there are problems.
And with this, I am officially caught up. Whew.
Impressions:
So… let me see if I follow this. The illuminati dragged Bem out from their secret labs to hold a mock trial, including having their pet mad scientist/clown cosplayer rant about the coming monster apocalypse, before just throwing him right back into a secret cage. And the big argument that damns Bem? It's "Evidence? Who needs any evidence? Look how monstrous his appearance is! He's so obviously evil." And everyone's like "Mmhmm. Yes, yes. That makes sense. Don't just kill him. Kill all of them. Wipe out the whole species." They're not even trying ot tie in the pack of cyborg mass murderers unleashed on the city or all the genetic monsters running around and using them. It's just sophomoric "look at him. Totally a monster. I rest my case." This is stupid. This is painfully stupid. And it's the only goddamned thing that happened this week.

Oh well, at least there is only one episode left and then we can forget about this p.o.s. . And given the number of brain cells that this show has cost each of us forgetting ought to be quicker and easier than ever…
