Tales of Zestiria #10 — Burning Man

Oh good. Now he's explicitly Jesus.

Impressions:

I have no idea why they needed to skip the OP for this episode. To fit in all the rest of the half-assed lipservice about how hard people are working? This whole damn episode was basically lipservice. They find some random guy who's been possessed by The Evil, but instead of any kind of fight, it's relegated to a lesson about how hard it is to be Sorey because he must suffer everyone's sins/pains. The random redhead who's totally not another protagonist pops up again to pretend to assassinate Alisha, but instead of a fight, they have a lively political debate before simply wandering off. Yeah, guys. There's literally The Evil wandering all over the land in the form of giant centipedes and rampaging dragons. But sure. Let's have a long section on the side pieces's idealistic nonsense.

2 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

  • Germanguy says:

well, knowing the Game story would let you see this anime in an totally different way. in my eyes a way better way as in the game. but for fresh starters.. well, they know now that we have 2 strong females MC’s on Sorey’s side and also strong Seraphin one

  • The Phantom says:

Alisha was definitely not weak, but not this smart, and much less, this strong in the game (wow she bested Rose!), she was kinda (slightly) insecure and annoying, Rose was always the better girl, always ready to kill someone for the greater good, and doing so with a smile on her face.

It seems they changed Alisha for good in the anime, I guess this relegates Rose to secondary heroine? In any case those two will always clash, in the DLC for example where you play as Alisha they outright fight each other for a while.
