That was definitely something that needed an entire infodump.

Impressions:

These last two episodes should have absolutely been a single one, as this was padded as hell out in the most idiotic ways possible. Everyone wanders away from the battlefield to listen to some particularly idiotic info dumps about vampires and sucking blood among other handwavey magic things, assorted flashbacks having nothing really to do with anything except maybe the standard friendship and insecurity, and a second edition of Random Slapstick Girls playing with a grenade. And then they went pretty much right back into where the battle left off at the start of the episode. God knows that we wouldn't have been able to follow without a long flashback about doing the impossible, even when that's defined by your own insecurities, and once overcome, allows you to one-shot the enemy you spent multiple episodes fighting. Whoopie.

That said, I think the thing that' starting to grate on me the most is the constant lionizing of the girl shoved in the crystal. She's obnoxious, overbearing, and bordering on sociopathic, yet every single episode apparently has to have at least one, often multiple, flashbacks about how she was such the most perfect girl by the way that she acting like an irredeemable jackass with no regard for other people. Which isn't to say that the poor animation and action scenes have gotten any better, and I'm sure now that I've purged Qualidea from my pre-viewing which always did a great job of lowering expectations for other things, my opinion of it will only get worse.
