The Outcast #03 — Man Eater

July 23rd, 2016

Why was this an entire episode?

If at about three minutes into the episode, you were able to call that the girl who suddenly asked the protagonist out on a date was going to be an antagonist, then congratulations, you're smarter than the show thinks you are. What should've been about five… maybe ten minutes of setup instead consumes the entire goddamned episode and stretches on and on and on to another, which also doesn't appear to have any form of action if the next episode preview is anything to go by. He doesn't even do a passable job of dealing with a girl coming onto him either, with all the screaming about cooties. Nor was she winning any points for spending exceptionally long cackling to herself and prattling on. Christ, he didn't even actually fight back. It was just "Oh no, my powers," and it was back to cackling, and then letting someone else fondle his package. Maybe only the even numbered episodes don't blow goat balls.
