Way to continue to do absolutely nothing, Subaru.
Impressions:
It's reached the point in this show that I groan when it skips the OP because I know that's just going to mean that the already plodding episodes are going to simply plod all the more. So how are we going to stretch things out this week without actually going anywhere? Flashbacks. First an eight minute flashback explaining the idiot twins' past. You see, one was better than the other, but then tragedy struck and it got its horn cut off. The end. Stretch that out for eight minutes. Then for the rest of the episode, we keep flashing back about the depths of their feelings these morons supposedly have for each other.
The most insulting part was probably the 'climax' of this episode and the arc. Subaru stares down the dog, farts some black smoke, pokes it twice with his pig sticker, and then… someone else shows up and kills everything in one attack. All to a glorious insert song exalting Subaru's heroism. Jesus Christ, writers. Somehow even worse, this all wrapped up at around the 15 minute mark, leaving a goddamned third of the episode left to do nothing but go back to sitting in bed, wallowing in their feelings. Again. If you cut out all the parts of this arc that aren't spent sitting in bed or whinging on about their emotions, this arc would've probably been two episodes long, and most of that would've been exposition and flashbacks.

now time to see if this third infoumos arc is so bad that all LN readers droped the novel after the first chapter of the arc
