Girl Meets Bear #01 — Let’s Learn About Sex With Bears

April 3rd, 2016

This had a lot more bestiality than I was expecting.

Impressions:

I think the only thing that you really need to know is that in the first five minutes of this supposed comedy, there were a grand total of two jokes. One was that a magic talking bear greeted her normally instead of attacking her, and the second is that the same magic bear yelled "absolutely not" while making a stupid face. That would be how the humor more or less continued, with such timeless gems as "suica" (railcard) and "suika" (watermelon) are homophones, which is so hilarious that that single observation comprised over 5% of the episode. So you can imagine that when they got around to 'jokes' about bears raping women, it almost came as a relief.

So here we have another one of those comedies where the 'humor' doesn't come from jokes, but from the occasional overreaction, screaming, and panning for the camera that is Japan's version of a laughtrack, and even if you did fall prey to their insidious social engineering, the non-jokes are far faaaaaaar too few with nothing at all filling the time in between them. The part I enjoyed the most by a long shot was the video game styled ED. It showed some actual visual creativity instead of simply screaming. Maybe if you're a fan of We Bare Bears, but think the show has too much of a focus on the bears, too much animation, too many jokes, and not enough bestiality.

Next Episode:

It's hilarious because he described how she was acting.

She needs to eat this bear’s “porridge” to be interesting.

Who needs a plot when you can throw together a fucking bear and a girl and call it a day… is this for real?
