Dog Days #28 — Oh No! Splotches!

January 17th, 2015

At least they’re not pulsating overly shiny CGI splotches.

Quasi-Impressions:

This counts for Aldnoah too since I watched about ten minutes of both of these combined and have no real desire to watch any more. Perhaps premature if both Ange and Rolling Girls suck the big one today, but even with an episode of exposition ahead in Sunrise-ville, I can’t imagine it being any worse than a whole lot of empty space… set to insert songs.

Ayway, Aldnoah had a whole, whole lot of sitting around talking, mostly on the antagonist side, before Eggsy ended up fighting in space as the sole person who remembered to load their gun with bullets instead of nerf pellets. Here, we just have a few long phone calls, some exposition, and it’s my duty to do everything all by myself. Which she immediately fails at and needs the entire cast to show up, with armies, to shoot down some random black blobs. The whole thing was pew pew beams simply shot into space and exploding, aside from when they also posed which meant a beam would be splitting into a few extra beams. I miss when you tried, Seven Arcs.
