Dog Days #27 — Land of the Lost

Oh good. Fuzzy dinosaurs.
Doing things slightly out of order because Aldnoah’s being a pissy bitch with my capper. Sneak preview: Nobody died. Finish your thoughts from there.
Impressions:
It sure ain’t the first season. I question the wisdom of basically excising the “Dog” part of the show, even if for an episode. I can’t imagine anybody who liked the series thinking to themselves “I love this show, but there’s too many girls. We need an episode focused on just Cinque and Girl Cinque.” Oh, but wait. There’s also the new character, whose personality is being impassive. What fun. Doesn’t even attack them or anything. Just introduces herself, tags along, hugs a furry dinosaur helplessly, and that’s it. Great character introduction.
I’m pretty sure that I don’t feel like going through another unambitious brain-numbing season, and this didn’t show any sign that things would be changing from the disappointing previous season. It’s reached a holding pattern and while not as offensively awful as… say… the half dozen half assed half made LN magical girlfriend adaptations this season, there’s enough on Saturdays that I don’t see this interesting me enough to go with the known meh factor over at least two flaming train wrecks minimum.

As long as all the defects from Squirreland, namely squirrel princess, dumbass pervert and Mary Suest stay the fuck away, it should be an improvement over the second season.
