Seriously. The first character dialogue of this show is basically “Goddamn, do I love Gundam. I love buying Gundam models. My greatest ambition in life is playing Gundam models with some penis.” I’m not sure it went a single four minute span without someone declaring “Hot damn! Gundam is awesome!” There was one character who’s schtick was “Building Gundam’s awesome, but not playing with them,” which was apparently evil and cruel or something. After all, why would you buy more Gundam if you haven’t broken your old ones yet? At least they spent quite a bit more effort on the action here than the other Gundam show this season. No speedlines turning into sparklies here. Still bored! Still not willing to paw underneath the heavy handed advertisement to wonder if there’s an actual show underneath it. Still not going to paw at the screen to buy Gundam toys either.

    Damn GBF is awesome again. If you can tolerate the OMFG I LOVE GUNDAM, then GBF brings everything you’d like from a mecha series. Good characters, entertaining plot, comedy, and most of all GUNDAM BATTLES BURNING WITH GUNDAM PASSION! Damn man this first episode really delivered. The gundam hidden in a gundam surprise at the end was an unexpected twist too. I was wondering why the heck a DOM would be inside Sei/Reiji’s trophy. Turns out it was a disguise! I can’t wait to see more. Hopefully they’ll do something interesting with the new 3v3 gimmick.

    Although I still won’t buy any Gunpla even those this anime is one gigantic fun commercial haha.
