You know, Japan, that’s not the only reason people win fights.

I’m out of town on vacation starting tomorrow very early and won’t be back until very late Monday night. Coverage will be spotty or more likely, non-existent until then. I have one post scheduled for tomorrow (premiere wrapup) and will try to write another this afternoon/evening for the weekend, but otherwise, I’ll be on the wrong side of the country, doing wrong side of the country things.

Impressions:

Good god, show. “You know why you won?” Yes, because the cat-dragon cheated, did exactly what they said last week that they couldn’t do, and distracted you at a key moment. But no. Of course that wasn’t the answer. Instead, they went with an insultingly lurgy “It was the power of your feelings” heaping spoonful of crap. And thus they ‘learned’ that it was the power of friendship all along. Except that it wasn’t. At all. It was the power of cheating. And it passes without any of them saying a word.

And then it was time for another gigantic exposition dump out of nowhere about some other macguffin. Why is it important? Hell if I know. They’re just like “Hey, did you know that there’s some thing that may or may not exist, nobody knows what it is, and nobody knows where it might be?” And all of a sudden, it is now the most important to go find, with no information except that. Boy, guys. Don’t make me too intrigued that some dead guy might have, at some point, owned something. I have socks that have more of a backstory than that.
