Freezing #18 — “Have You Seen Our Chains?”

November 8th, 2013

They’re extra symbolic of symbolism!

Impressions:

Why does this arc even exist? And didn’t we already go through it in the last season? I guess maybe that was just flashbacks not requiring anybody to actually do anything, which is something that this episode shares in common with it as the only thing that happened was the protagonists lying back and taking it. I can only imagine it’s a way to make Kazuya seem less horrible by putting Bridg into a domestic sexual abuse situation where she can’t fight back so he can save her from being raped (because that’s the old standby), but in a show about super powered women gouging pieces of each other with ridiculous weapons, who goes "Let’s forget all that and just have one of them be raped for a while, and only able to be saved by a potato who has the powers of being useless and giving speeches." It’s almost the kind of thing that I wish they did without their usual shreds of competence. If they went full Valvrave, at least I could laugh at it. Instead, it’s just a bit (intentionally) disturbing, but certainly not enough to make me care about any of these dishwater dull titbags. Or the one we’re supposed to be rooting for to save her who is just a proselytizing burlap sack.

Next Episode:

Kazuya continues to suck.

    Did you fap at least?

  • The Phantom says:

Why are you complaining about a show which only goal is fanservice? The plot doesn’t exist! It’s only purpose is to show more fanservice.

Is like watching porn for the plot… there is NO PLOT here.
