Problem Children #07 — Naked Time

February 22nd, 2013

Also, rats.

Impressions:

While the start seemed to be yet another talking heads intro to a couple new characters, they disappeared quickly enough and  swarm of rats ended up having pretty much the same amount of screentime as them. At least Asuka’s first resort after her Gift failed on them was to go for the magic sword instead of freaking out. Not that that stopped her from moping about it later once naked. Not all that excessively, but there was still a lot more todo over it than it deserved. Also worth noting, her first pocket of choice is her cleavage.

Otherwise, pretty much nothing else happened this week. Naked time, sizing up the girls like meat, new quest, pied piper, etc. Spitting out "Here’s our next thing to do, let me explain all about it" with about three or four minutes left in the episode just waved the "Info dump time!" flags and me zoning out. Now I’ll never know if the pied piper/Hamelin stuff has anything to do with rats! Alas.

7 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

  • It was interesting to see that Leticia can change form. I wonder if there’s a story there.

    • Flood says:

I wonder if all the Demon Lords have a “child” appearance and an “adult” appearance. Meaning, they suppress their power in child form and release it in adult form.’

      Or something like that…

      • That’s a thought. Shiroyasha, too?

        • Flood says:

Possibly…just a theory at this point. Probably doesn’t make a whole lot of sense as we haven’t seen any sign of Shiroyasha in adult form (nor any hints from Black Rabbit that would suggest Shiroyasha has an adult form). Maybe the child/adult transformation is limited to Leticia or vampires in this world.

          Hmmm…

      • sage says:

If there’s a story there? This is a common trope for loli vampires in Japan. For example, Shinobu in Bakemonogatari. There’s no “story” there.

  • The Phantom says:

I’m wondering if rabbit will have a third ‘level’ with gold hair later on…

  • Flood says:

I like the fact that Asuka is pretty good with a sword. At least she has “real” power and not just a stack of mortgage backed securities in her living room.
