K #05 — Ultra Dynamic Walking

November 1st, 2012

At least they spent the budget somewhere.

Impressions:

Speaking of wasted time… this was back to full force RPG music, shots of scenery, shots of people slowly walking around, etc. At least it got hilariously bad at one point where characters ‘walked’ past each other, which was done with stills fading into each other instead of animating it. I can only imagine the director thought that would be a cool effect or something and forgot that it was just two people walking around a fountain to bad pianos. At least I think it was a fountain. It was circular, in a public area, and full of statues at least. Given the setting, there’s also the chance that it was a vending machine. The camera spin towards the end of the fight was also hilariawful.

Anyway, as I said last week, this show’s its most amusing when it’s not taking itself particularly seriously, and most of that falls on Kuro and Kitty. The other side of it has… uh… the sexy librarian character with breasts that look more like a balcony? And dynamic skateboarding? Usual mantra. Focus, focus, focus. Especially with all the blatantly wasted time. At least there was a rather nicely done fight. Didn’t really serve a point, but it’s clear where the effort in this episode went.

Preview:

Needs more Kitty.

So… what’s the point of this show again? They keep focusing on the weirdest thing… first the focus on random fucking skateboarding, now the focus on random fucking k-drama walking past each other. And I’m pretty sure the next ep will be nonsensical yet again.

Also, is the bespectacled guy gay, retarded, or both?

I sure as hell don’t know. All I know is, so far, my prediction as to what this show would turn into could not have been more off base.

  • Benigmatica says:

Wow, the fight between Fushimi and Yata-san for this episode echoes those fan debates on whose the most magnificent bastard in 2006, namely Light Yagami and Lelouch Lamperouge.

The weekly thumbnails collection for this show is as usual unwatchable.
