Inuyuri #21 — Concert Time

August 25th, 2012

Oh, is it that time again already?

Impressions:

Well, over half the episode was spent watching Milhi and Becky in the bath chatting about Doofus and/or another one of those abysmal concerts. So, uh, as much fun as it would be to talk about characters talking about how they’re going to sit there and do nothing in regards to a character with only slightly more personality than most guinea pigs, I feel like I’ve already said more than it deserves. If it had been Leon and Yuki having a wrestling bath match, it’d be a different story. Where has Leon been this season anyway? She seems like she’s more or less disappeared off the face of the earth.

Anyway, the other half of the episode seemed like it might be starting to set up some kind of final plot what with the quasi-evil jewel thief/voodoo puppeteer roaming around trying to steal anything shiny, including the sacred thingys. Take away the magic powers, give them all to the amoral magic creature, there’s your final boss. Instead, they went for using the puppetry stuff for bad harem antics and turning Shinku back into his sexual fantasy form, which Yuki and Rico were not helping by talking about big he is while straddling his sword.

  • Neclord X says:

Great! even more characters. Also Shink “saiyan form” is…ridiculous. A grown up version of himself? Come on! I thought it was just the past week joke, not a “new power”

At least we had a kiss, even if was accidental and no one will remember next week.

  • jingoi says:

Not even trying to hide the fact that blonde and pink MCs will make the beast with two backs someday. Can’t wait for the day I’m watching my collection for the 3rd time because this will dominate the anime world.

  • Jack says:

Christ, they waste a lot of time in this show. Two new heros and we’ve gone nowhere. It’s like an entire show of filler.

Hopefully the third season will have a point.
