Dog Days #14 — Wag The Mutt

July 7th, 2012

I’m not really here.

Non-Impressions:

This isn’t a real post, but I figured, hey, while I’m here… for about the next 10 minutes so don’t get your hopes up for me putting up anything else, especially things that haven’t even aired yet… I might as well toss up the caps for the mediocre sequel show that probably doesn’t have anything of worth said about it at this point anyway unless it turns out completely different… which it doesn’t not appear to. I may or may not be back to fill this in later, but probably not. Somebody else write the post for me. Go. I’m pretty sure I got the gist of the episode anyway just be sorting the caps and it sure doesn’t appear to be anything particularly new or exciting. Oh well. Low expectations met. Congratulations. Applause, applause, 7Arcs.

I’ll probably be able to get to the rest of today’s stuff (Second Half of Zzzz, Generic Crappy MMO Adaptation, Generic LN A-1 Adaptation of a Fake MMO, and The Other Sequel) probably starting around 10pm eastern tonight.

6 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

Sevenarcs style is always very pleasant looking.

In the first season, every episode delivered pleasant visuals and well-animated but mindless action on a paper-thin plot. This season looks to follow the same formula, jumping into battle in the first episode. However, they seem to have forgotten to make up a villain this time around, and I didn’t see one in the op either. Maybe future girl will foresee one or something. Also, they stripped down three characters in the first episode instead of one, so clearly, this will be the best season yet >_>.

At least this series saved me the season when all the “action” shows just kept talking (Index, Yumekui). So if all the other series forget that characters are supposed to move, Dog Days will always be there for you!

Too much squeaking, not enough action. Also, messy direction.

P.S.: Dammit, the tanuki people are already annoying me and they’ve had how much screentime? Two minutes!?

  • I watched this episode three times and its everything I hoped it would be.

    (They’re not Tanukis. They’re Chipmunks.)

I… really enjoyed this for some reason. Guess just that it kept moving. Can’t fault it for lack of energy.
