I kind of tuned out after it took him a third of the episode to reach the cockpit, far too much of which continued to be the random people up in space technobabbling while gasping at the immense and important things unfolding before their eyes, but not ours. Then his true power awoke, his hair turned blue, and he began sky surfing… for a sum total of about four minutes. They also used the same visual effect for his power awakening as they did for the transition to and from commercials. And with that, I take my graceful bow out of Yet Another Mech Show^tm with no regrets.
