I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that the budget plummeted with the second episode since that happened with this director’s last show too. The artistic creativity stops being creative when you just recycle it from one episode to the next. By the end of the first half, I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to strangle the characters from the annoying panflute and screaming or have a nap because they spent the entire time talking about fishing while the artistic direction that I liked from last week was utterly forgotten for just talking heads and closeup of random props. Needless to say, there are a lot of shows on Thursdays and this episode absolutely did not endear itself to me.
