Fall Seriously in Love With Me!! #07 — Betrayal

November 12th, 2011

Where’s my Miyako segment, damn it?

Impressions:

Lerche! How dare you betray me!? When I turned this episode on and it began with tanks firing into the distance, all I could think was "What kind of crazy scheme of Miyako’s is this?" Also, "these tanks are a euphemism for Yamato’s penis, aren’t they?" But then you had to go and play it straight. And for some reason go back to the ‘serious’ plot for the show, if you can even call it that. Damn it, Lerche. Follow up an episode about penis biting with more comedy. I guess this was supposed to be Momoyo’s episode, finally, but it was mostly just her lounging around being bored and trying to mess around with Yamato while the rest of the girls got in her way before going off to sulk.

I really hope this serious bit doesn’t last much longer and the antagonists here are reduced to comic relief. The show’s far better as a comedy, and while this isn’t quite out of nowhere nor crammed in at the last second as a blatant grab for closure, a serious plot has not been this show’s focus or strength thus far and Lerche obviously doesn’t have the budget to do a particularly good job of it. Well, either that, or they find the budget somewhere to make all these pairings and fights actually decent. Or at least not as corny as the slow motion bullet to the back of the head. You’re not going to kill anybody, Lerche. Don’t even bother trying to pretend otherwise.

  • TT says:

FINALLY! They stopped with these stupid Miyako segments thank god.

  • AGear2Ax says:

So… it seems they introduced good ol’ robots as the “worthy” opponents of Momoyo… BTW, are they the “ninjas” which were introduced in the last long serious segment? (Around ep 2 if I recall correctly, the ep with the stuff of the almighty dog)

And then I felt like watching Fullmetal Alchemist.

    • AGear2Ax says:

Maybe it’s just a Jax fangirl… because in fullmetal only one arm is like that, but Jax has both arms like that…

      • Wilfriback says:

I mean the girl from the Automail episode, the brown skinned one who can shoot missiles from her knees.

  • S.C. says:

Out of curiosity, have you played the game Aroduc? If so what did you think of it?

    • Aroduc says:

Nah. I’m not really a big fan of pure VNs. Once upon a time, I played through them, but these days… eh…
