My Blah Blah Can’t Be This Blah Blah #10 — Feeding On Otaku Tears

Why couldn’t Kanako be the star?

Impressions:

Let me see here… I know this character… Hasn’t been seen since the opening episodes… her little arc came out of literally nowhere, had a bunch of overblown melodrama about how important she is for Kirino before dropping off the face of the Earth… arc ended with Kyousuke yelling at her and then lying that he was the pervert… Oh, right. She’s Kirino’s father. Duh.

Since this show seems determined to oscillate between boring tedium and excessively outlandish scenarios, this week was the latter. Kirino’s dad wanted to get her a present, and apparently he has nothing better to do than go shopping for other people. In the end, the only ‘worthy’ present was a figure that could only be won in a cosplay contest, so it was off to another wacky adventure before next week the show will try to return to calling itself realistic. I actually kind of liked Kanako though. Sure, she’s a bitch, but she’s open and honest about it. Plus, she feeds on the tears of cosplayers and otaku. That’s got to count for something.

Overall, this episode wasn’t as bad as most. I’m completely burned out on idol insert songs thanks to KamiNomi, so the less said about that, the better. Kirino’s dad certainly wasn’t making herself any more interesting this week than she was in her last appearance a month and a half ago. Luckily, the show will end before she’s due to make a third appearance. Kyousuke cleans up surprisingly well too. That look is easily good enough to elevate his status to idol rapist. They did make it easier to watch by having the mecha anime playing in the background again. It’s hard to concentrate on Saori and Kuroneko rambling about Kirino while there’s things exploding in the background, but that’s definitely a good thing.

Bha this anime sucks, just watching it for the heck ot watching it, had more fun with takuto and his funnel-like attack this week on Star Driver, way better show than this, even with all the cliche, at least is Bones so the animation is decent.

I felt the exact same way when they showed that last time, lol.

There IS a reason why anime tends to have nonexistant families… It’s a pain to try to work them into a plot when they have nothing to do with anything.

Kanako will also make the best nanoha… ‘su.
