The Legend of the Legendary Heroes #13 — I HAVE THE POWER!!!

Thanks, He-Man!

Impressions:

Better episode than most, but still not terribly exciting. I don’t like flashbacks, especially not for tertiary characters that haven’t had a line for the last two months, and having the first third of the episode be yet another "Roland knights are giant jerkoffs" is not exactly tipping the wow-factor anymore. It was a pretty brutal scene, with Keifer smashed against the wall, not the mention the severed head rolling around, but at this point, the only thing that they haven’t shown the Roland knights to do is eat puppies. I’m all for villains being evil instead of misunderstood, but how exactly did they manage to field an entire army’s worth of psychopaths?

Unfortunately, we then get to the Gestark king, who is a misunderstood antagonist apparently. He hates war and is capable of blowing up entire armies with a single shot. That’s what Sion’s up against? When’s the last time Sion conquered anything more menacing than a stack of paper? Meanwhile, there’s about 5 seconds of fighting between Lyner and the siblings, who are after their Lucky Charms once more, this time with the help of a swarm of random knights just to let Lyner fight them both on his own. So… yeah, it was a busier episode than most, even if a lot of the Keifer stuff wasn’t really needed and I’m annoyed at them for dropping out of the Lyner stuff in the middle of a fight to go watch stupid Miran play court. Seriously, the Sion side of things just needs to be pitched into a well and then the well pitched into the sun.

There’s a new OP too, but Youtube is being a pissy little piece of crap right now. I’ll get to it when I can.

Preview:

I bet the preview is a lie and it’ll be 20 minutes of Sion going over crop reports.

But what of Ferris (and Ryner’s by extension) grand dream? What will become of it?

They’re seriously wasting these two, it’s depressing.

There is a new OP here is it if you can’t upload it:

Hey, I’d rather watch Keifer being a quadruple spy than Sion sitting around on his chair. Hopefully Gastark’s king doesn’t sacrifice his testosterone for that sword too, seeing as how he’s a way more interesting ruler than the whiny throne-warmer.

I agree with Anise_Punter up there, too. Those precious few minutes of the actual protagonists per episode (including the few seconds in the OP) make Sion’s brooding worth it. Speaking of the OP, the crazy-looking black-haired glowing-eyed blood-licker looks like fun.
