Aka, Ryomou vs literacy.

Impressions:

Well, this was a lot better than the second episode, and sort of back to the first one… which is to say I derived most of my entertainment from trying to figure out who everybody was. I think I had everybody pretty much down by the end except for Kannei (damn you, Gan Ning), although Ryomou’s giant monocle made it a tad harder to concentrate. The fight at the start was rather nice too, or at least nice enough to make me forget that this episode had absolutely nothing at all to do with the main plot of saving the catgirl. Maybe the the assassination plot was supposed to be tangentially related somehow? I’m not even sure if I’m supposed to know who those characters were.

I would also like to point out that you cannot have two worn out girls lying on a bed and talking about properly rewarding one of them like that and not expect anybody to assume that Wu is full of anything but sex crazed lesbians. Cutting away as they move close and then picking things back up with one passed out and the other in the afterglow of the act just makes it worse. I’m starting to wonder if Japan just thinks of Wu as an unquenchable hotbed of sex. I mean, it’s clear that IkkiT’s Koukin is banging them all, right? Right? Right!? Yeah, I’m right. Well, from what I gathered from this episode, the Koukin here is probably also sleeping with all of them.
