Actually, their plans were pretty clever.

Impressions:

A pretty decent episode, but the melodrama at the end went on about twice as long as it needed to, especially since both parts were speeches that we’ve heard before. In Himeji’s case, I think at least four or five times before. Yes, yes, they’re idiots but they’re wonderful people. Stop shrieking at me, you pink harpy. I’m also not sure that the person who thinks you’re all blithering idiots and just used you to break into the school’s vault cares. Furthermore, why does the school have a vault in the first place? That it keeps papers in? Don’t they have hard drives?

The first half was pretty fun at least, although a bit undirected, even for this show. It kind of bounced from Akira’s calorie drink mania to essentially a set of montages about Himeji trying various ways to give a love letter to Yoshii before that sort of half-segued into the plotty and melodramatic second half and the random cheater who I assume will end up being some form of antagonist for the end. I am glad that they’re apparently getting back to the summoning battles for the end at least. I never really expected them to resolve Yoshii’s relationship crap, so I far prefer some class battles as the dramatic finale instead of one of his women (or man) getting all angsty over him.
