Princess Lover! #10 — Old Maid

September 6th, 2009

I wonder if Teppei tried to motorboat her thighs.

Impressions:

I’m afraid that I can’t even muster up the biting sarcasm this week. I suppose that means that it was better than last week’s episode, but it’s harder to do much with tepid mediocrity than stinking garbage. I just want this bloody show to be over and inertia and the fact that it airs on a day where the next two best things are "believe in the heart of mahjong, and my watermelon sized sweater candies" and the endless flashbacks of TtT are pretty much the only things carrying my attention at the moment. Well, the fact that it’s been raining all day has also been a contributing factor. This episode was about 15 minutes of Teppei angsting around the house about Charlotte while the other girls tried to cheer him up by seducing him. Maybe that’s not what they were going after, but I’m not sure how else you can take shoving him face down into your crotch. Meanwhile, Charlotte is playing Old Maid with the terrorists while GMW Stubbins has sex with his assistant. Then the terrorists peep on her in the shower until the assistant comes in to grope Charlotte a bit because the singularity fanservice blockers have been underused for the past few episodes. So, yes, they’ve done a bloody great job at selling these these people as threatening.

Oh yes, and there’s the obligatory complaints about the minute and half of flashbacks, the lack of any sort of decent drama to this particularly abysmal portion of the show. To be honest though, when the alternative is having to watch Teppei sit around and feel sorry for himself, it’s almost a comfort to escape to those earlier times in the show when we had hope that it wouldn’t have turned out like… this. Ugh.

I wonder what happened to this series.. It had so much promise at the beginning.

  • Alt Eisen says:

Hi! Iwanted to ask this for a while now, from where comes the “Rock falls, everybody dies ” ?

  • John no arms says:

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK i like the rocks!!!! lovely end!!! the masterpiece of a genius!!!!!!!

  • Mr. Thayli says:

Yeah the first episode did a good job of making us think it would be solid. Still, we shouldn’t have gotten our hopes up, if I’m not mistaken the game had zero plot.

  • Irie says:

I personally like the episodes focused on silly humor. An entire build-up episode focused on Teppei’s angst and realization of how he feels for Charlotte was excessive. Can’t wait for the season to end. Hopefully the next will have a gem or two.

You guys take anime-watching way too seriously. I am expecting some badass now that Teppei has some power-upped coming along.

“Meanwhile, Charlotte is playing Old Maid with the terrorists while GMW Stubbins has sex with his assistant.”

    Hahaha that is quality stuff.

TeppeixCharlotte make a pretty bad pair. The development between the two were unconvincing. But oh well, this series has been reduced to nothing but comedy value to me, a very small value at that.
