Tayutama -Kiss on My Deity- #08 — Deja Vu

May 24th, 2009

Gee, have I seen this flashback already?

Impressions:

Well, it was a step up from the Yumina arc, but they abused that flashback so many times that I almost gagged on my dinner. Above and beyond that, Ameri was painfully cliche as well. Wah wah, I want a normal life without all these spirits and now I’m going to complain about it while buying an ugly hat. And now my hat is crushed and instead of the evil rapist dragon who dropped a ferris wheel compartment on it, we’re going to blame Mashiro and Yuuri. Cry me a freakin’ river, you whiny little brat. At least Nue’s newfound mastery of the internet can serve as inspiration for all the aspiring 21st century tentacle lolis.

Welp… let’s go, momentum… carry me to the end.

Nue is awesome, even her voice. Best lightning shooting tentacle blob thingy loli evar.

  • Irie says:

Maybe I’m getting soft but you have to feel sorry for Ameri. I mean how dense can Yuuri be to not recognize Ameri’s feelings. Give me a break. It’s typical childhood friend get’s shafted. Now, that I got that off my chest, Ameri needs to stop whining and do something about it. She’s pretty pathetic right now.

  • Nanaya says:

You know, sometimes there is a point in a series where I stop watching it, sit back, and let this blog act as my buffer so I can satisfy my curiosity about how it ends (damn completionist tendencies).

For this series, that point was around episode 4. Something about the pacing and characterization threw me off — if I could put it into words, a lot of it seemed too forced. All that said, go momentum, go! I’m counting on you to finish this for me!

  • Di Gi Kazune says:

Yes, Ameri needs to be more proactive! GO RAPE YUU-CHAN!

In other news. MS has bought Seegle. IE7 usages booms on Vista.

  • Azure says:

I’m of the opinion that Yuuri should just stop going to school altogether and live secluded in the hills with his doggirl. It’d spare him having to deal with Ameri’s whiny ass and Yumina’s shrill warbling.

…On the other hand, that would deprive him of Mifuyu (who needs more love) and Nue (whom I agree is the single best character in this whole show)…

  • Zero says:

I have to agree that I am part of the majority who thinks that Nue is the best character in this anime series. Though Im still a Mashiro fan all the way. Though I like Tayutama, its too bad that there are only 3 good characters in the game and series whom are Mashiro, Nue, and Mifuyu. The rest are just bad like Yumina, and especially Ameri. Man her route is pure torture, at least Yumina’s are better. The only good routes are Mashiro and Mifuyu in the game.

@Irie: Isn’t that typical of the harem show lol? But seriously, I think Yuu might’ve known and thought that Ameri had liked him all along thus the flashbacks where he thought that Ameri and him would be together forever. A naive idea that he believed in as a child, also he did love Ameri before, but when Ameri left him during Middle school, he thought that she didnt love him. You cant blame the guy right? The girl he was together with since childhood just suddenly left, so can he still love her and manage to think that she still loves him? Most likely not.
