Then again, Oasis is smoking… aside from the eyeball in her hair.

Impressions:

First off, this whole Kyouka wanting Ouka to be affectionate and lovey dovey with him is just silly. Never mind that she’s a megalomaniacal ADD midget catdemon bent on world domination between playing with a scratching post, but Ouka has a girlfriend. She just sort of seems to conveniently forget about Shinigami in order to be jealous over Oasis. On the other hand, Shinigami is somewhat crazy in her own right, and it’s a little tough to feel too threatened by a girl in a skull mask… at least romantically. Oasis, however, is exuberant, affectionate, cute, and has an adoreable little ass wiggle whenever she gets excited about anything. A bit clueless for an intergalactic traveller, but it was good enough for a few laughs as Chika, Ginka and Teika tried to teach her about love. Just drop her off at the crossdressing bar with the catloli and let her take notes there, guys.

I still want Raichou to actually do something instead of always just showing up and then leaving things to the family. The whole invasion thing seemed to be pretty weirdly handled too. The invader eggs were falling in the background for pretty much the entire episode, but aside from the initial attack on Oasis, they weren’t really part of the episode at all. I’m also not entirely certain what was up with Yuuka being drunk at the end. Maybe I just missed something, or maybe it was supposed to be insinuated that in the process of removing all the water from the house to thwart Oasis, she consumed all the alcohols and stuff as well.

Brief Summary:

Kyouka’s hatching new plans to win Ouka’s affection, but eggs start dropping from the sky as she leaves to put her plan into action. Kyouka gets it into her mind that she can win Ouka by conquering this thing. Raichou swings by to tell them that they’re alien invaders and still in the thrall of her alien conquering delusion, Kyouka volunteers the family to take them head on.

Ouka’s out shopping as the egg lands, and he’s drenched by a localized torrent of water which turns into a strange girl with an eyeball in her hair. After sucking his finger and gaining knowledge about him from that (and they trying for a bigger bite), they’re attacked by aliens from the eggs. Ouka’s pistol is useless against the aliens, so the girl (Oasis) transforms into a blade and forces Ouka to use her to kill them. Afterwards, she dehydrates and Ouka is forced to pour water on her to help her recover. Kyouka comes up as Ouka’s ministering to a sopping wet and glomping Oasis.

Back at home, Oasis learns about Earth’s technology. She tells the family that she’s here for love. At the same time, Kyouka and Ouka have it out. Just as they’re about to ‘be affectionate,’ Ginka interrupts because Oasis has dried up again. After rehydrating her and another Ouka glomping, Chika decides to teach her about love. She and Ginka act out two people in love, but Ginka can’t go through with kissing a girl (YUCKY!) so Chika whips the hell out of him. Teika tries to show off with his woman, but when she learns it’s an act, she beats him too… thus Oasis comes to the conclusion that ‘love’ means ‘beat the hell out of your partner,’ and goes off to whip Ouka. Kyouka joins in out of jealousy.

After some soul searching at night (and interrupting Ouka in the bath), Oasis sneaks into Ouka’s room. After failing to wake him, she kisses him. Yuuka sees it and the family comes running. Kyouka loses it and attacks Oasis. Ouka finally wakes up, confused, just as Oasis dries up again. Kyouka tries to stop him from hydrating her, but Ouka convinces her to let him and he carries Oasis off. Unfortunately, all the water and pipes have been removed from the house. Gekka spritzes Oasis, bringing her back, but the person who removed everything was Yuuka, who goes on a drunken tirade against Oasis and Ouka threatening the family. Oasis sees Yuuka’s tears as all the family stands amazed at Yuuka. Later at night, Oasis sits at a pond alone, thinking about everything Yuuka said.

The next morning, Chika wonders where Oasis has run off to. Raichou stops by as more alien eggs fall and lets them know that Oasis was the one they were supposed to hook up with to stop the invasion. Oops.
