Yes, I’m Gonna Shine in Your Love.

Impressions:

They’re certainly keeping their musicians busy this season. I think I hear at least one or two new tracks every single episode. Shaft was also being weird this episode for the second part. I think we went through a two minute period of staring at shoes while people talked. I don’t pretend to understand Shaft anymore anyway. They exist in their own little world and we normal mortals only occasionally get to see a small glimpse. Although… I am pretty sure their world involves a lot of pot. I’m not even going to try to figure out what "I’m Gonna Shine in Your Love" is supposed to mean. And of course, just to keep things confused, there was a new ED this week too. Marionette? Teacher’s Pet?

The first and third stories were pretty fun, but little particularly noteworthy. Part one was the dangers of competition and grouping things… which of course included Goku and Vegeta fighting in the background at one point. The second segment was eminently forgettable aside from the foot fetishism. Maybe they had to conserve the budget after giant robo Chiri last episode. The third picked up a bit again, though the Maria interjections got kind of annoying fast. I still laughed at the slow burning Chiri getting all uppity over not being thanked. I’ve been through that kind of drama in the past.
