Dammit… where’s my Byakko?

Impressions:

This was one of those "so bad that it was entertaining again" episodes of Labyrinth. Deen really seems to have absolutely no idea what they’re doing with this series and is padding the hell out of certain areas to fill in the time between when things are actually entertaining. Luckily, next episode looks like a return to the quality from a few weeks ago… and if nothing else, has Byakko in a schoolgirl’s outfit for some reason. I’ve stopped trying to figure out how Cutey Byakko and her magical costumed adventures work. She is overdue to jump ship to the good guy team.

Anyway, this episode started off with the girls squealing over baby pictures of Mayuki, segued into Seiran’s crossdressing brother with panties on his head. Alright… maybe he’s just excessively Victorian and not really crossdressing. I suppose that if you put a pirate hat on him and gave him an eyepatch, he’d probably make a pretty good buccaneer. Everybody, Deen included, sort of lost control of the episode from there. Ostriches ran amok while they also tried to throw in some more serious Seiran development. Sure… they could have extended the Seiran sections… but then we wouldn’t have had ostriches. Where did he even get ostriches in post-apocalyptic Japan?
