More anime males just need to be footloose and fancy free… so to speak.

Impressions:

Plot development? In Ninomiya? What has the world come to? Sarcasm aside, this was a pretty fun episode for me just because they kicked it off by having Mayu’s brother standing around without his pants on, which put me in the exactly perfect frame of mind to be able to mock and enjoy it all at once, and there was plenty to mock for this one. Mayu’s pendulum chest while she casually trotted around looked like she was clubbing herself in her face with those melons, the fact that the right one is a different size from the left, Reika’s evershifting bust size, Cyomic Market (108! Tokyo BIGNA Sight!) and the King of No-Pants himself with his Queen of No-Top, all wonderful things to laugh at. Maybe I’m supposed to be laughing with the show, but it’s so much easier this way.

Anyway, I don’t really care too much for or about Reika also being a succubus or the new girl who rides around in things long, hard, and full of seamen. Serious Hosaka though? Let’s have more of him. Him suddenly shifting to serious mode and calling out Ninomiya for being the indecisive philandering twit that he is? Thumbs up for you, boy. Sure, I still have troubles remembering your name, but you should just seize the succubi and start your own army of death. At least not-Reika behaves like an actual succubus and goes right for the business end of Ninomiya, and I’m not talking about his soul.

In a bedroom, Reika is bemoaning her fate as she cleans up. She sees something hidden away and finds Mayu’s yaoi manga. She opens it up and then immediately closes it, wondering why someone would have something like this. Unfortunately for us though, she’s drawn back to it and starts flipping through the pages.

Flash over to Cyomic Market 108. That is not a typo. Cyomic Market.

Moving on…

At Cyomic Market (108! TOKYO BIGNA SIGHT! Okay, I’m done now.), tons of people are waiting in line while Reika’s crony is dressed in a bunny girl suit and sells doujinshi drawn by the blushing artist in disguise, Reika. She’s then swamped with requests for autographs.

Once the OP runs, we return to an actual story in progress. And by story, I mean Ninomiya Island. The youth are confused, Ninomiya’s sister is topless, and Mayu’s brother has no pants on.

I’d like you to go over that last sentence one more time before we continue onward.

Strangely, nobody seems to mind the demon man not wearing pants, but is instead annoyed about being on the island. Mayu comes up to Ninomiya and asks him if he’ll go out on the ocean with her. Reika fumes while her henchmen poses with his I <3 Beach shirt.

At the Ninomiya house, a girl lurks.

Ninomiya and Mayu row out around the island. Ever the intelligent one, Mayu spots a turtle and tries to reach out for it. Ninomiya stops her from upending them and they fall backwards with her in his lap. She springs out and apologizes, but Ninomiya is a bit stunned and tells her that it’s fine.

Reika and her lackey watch through binoculars. He thinks that it’s a great atmosphere for them. They go through the usual back and forth of “why does Reika care about him” and then the lackey tells her his plan.

Later, Ninomiya is sunbathing while dreaming about a promise made to a girl. Mayu puts a cold drink in his face and wakes him up. He hops up and sees Mayu in her bathing suit, complete with exceedingly poorly drawn abundant chest. She’s embarassed for a moment, then asks for a favor. She needs a rubdown from Ninomiya. WITH SUNTAN LOTION YOU PERVERTS. She sits down and pulls her hair aside to give him access to her back.

Reika et all wander through the bushes to get into position.

At some point off screen, Mayu has taken off her top and laid down on the chair for the rub down to commence. Reika blurts out Ninomiya’s name and he looks up, and she waves him into the bushes. She’s in her own skimpy swimsuit and does the same embarassed routine. Like Mayu, she demands to be rubbed down.

She lays down on her blanket, loses her top and the rub down commences. She squirms, moans and yells all the while. They’re not even hiding it anymore, are they?

Mayu’s brother and Ninomiya’s sister polish their respective weapons.

Reika, exhausted, wanders back to her minion and backhands him for his crappy plan.

Ninomiya is enjoying a big fruity drink with Mayu, so Reika (in a different bathing suit) pulls him away for an even bigger, fruitier drink. Then Mayu and Ninomiya are cavorting, and with her breasts moving like pendulums swung by the hand of Atlas, she falls and ends up with a crab on her head.

Reika pulls him away again to play in the water and nearly drowns him.Then with the sand buildings as well. Reika is a walking disaster and runs off in shame. Mayu and Ninomiya both watch her escape.

In a submarine off the coast, a woman gives the orders to prepare their operation.

Reika mopes on a balcony, thinking about what could be wrong with her. Her minion comes up and says that she shouldn’t mind and gives her a little peptalk on the basics of love. Reika looks out at the sunset and says how beautiful it is. Psyched up, Reika returns to ‘combat.’

In the sub, the attack on Ninomiya inches ever closer.

Ninomiya walks out onto the beach, thinking how strange Reika’s been acting. He sees Mayu looking out to see. She thanks him for all the fun today and goes on herself about how nice the sea is and whatnot. Ninomiya asks her if she’d like to look at the stars together later with him.

From behind a tree, Reika overheard it and sighs deeply, then walks away.

The elder sister and brother have left the island to the kids for the night. They all dig into the food, minus Reika, though her minion says not to worry about her. Ninomiya can’t let things lie though and wants to go find her.

Hosaka stops him and asks in a mature voice ‘why’. Ninomiya says that he’s worried about her. Hosaka continues, saying that he wonders if Ninomiya really understands Reika’s feelings at all and what he’s been putting her through. Ninomiya stops for a moment and then says he’s looking anyway. Mayu runs off after him. Hosaka returns to his youthful voice as they leave.

Reika walks across the shore at night. She trips and cuts her foot.

As she hugs her knees, so thinks about the promise that was made to her. A voice asks her if she’s afraid. She tearily says that she’s not, but the voice says that she’s lying to herself. Reika cries out that it’s wrong.

Ninomiya searches for Reika on the beach, wondering what was wrong. He thinks for a moment that Reika could have been… but then shrugs it off. He runs into the forest and doesn’t see that the sub woman is right behind him and found her target.

Reika looks up as Ninomiya finds her. She rubs her eyes and yells at him for looking for her, but he says that he was worried. He asks her what she was doing here, but she doesn’t answer. She tells him that the stars are really beautiful.

He tries to talk to her more, but she gets angry and stands up. Her leg still hurts though and she nearly falls causing Ninomiya to steady her. The two seperate quickly and he tells her to climb onto his back and he’ll carry her. She smiles as she moves towards him, but the voice echoes in her head and she passes out, falling onto him.

Her eyes open and turn blood red. She grabs Ninomiya tightly and tells him that she’s a Hojo and asks if she remembers the power. He thinks that she’s the exact same as Mayu, a succubus. She affirms this and falls backwards, pulling him on top of her. She then takes his hand and puts it on her chest, asking if he’s scared.

She continues, telling him that this is what Reika wants. This is what they had promised. Hearing about the promise makes Ninomiya stop struggling for a moment, letting Reika pull him close… but then she stops and says that it’s too bad but the fun’s over. She closes her eyes and goes limp.

Ninomiya picks her up, but she’s totally unresponsive. He wonders about her being a succubus and thinks that he might be able to revive her by giving her his own energy. He says ‘damn the risk’ and brings Reika close to kiss her.

Mayu sees this from behind the rocks and runs off crying. She makes it about 4 steps before she’s caught in a net. The sub surfaces and the woman holds a gun to Ninomiya’s head, stopping him from planting one on Reika. Speaking of her, she finally wakes up in Ninomiya’s arms, back to normal and starts flailing at him until the gun moves to her head. They’re surrounded by the submarine team.

Ninomiya asks Reika if she remembers what happened, but she has no clue. The men bring up the captured Mayu while Ninomiya wonders what in hell’s name going on.
