Why even wear a patch over your crotch at all?

Impressions:

Well, I guess it's an improvement over last week's godawfulness, but not much. The first 16 minutes is a continuation of the worst parts; just a bunch of barely connected bits of people chatting with each other, most of whom aren't relevant to anything going on, have nothing to do with the climactic bits of the episode, and have done nothing of any value or note in the show thus far. And that's after we escape the randomly spat out flashback at the start. But it showed Artoria Saber, so I guess all the fanboys can excitedly clap their hands and bark like harp seals.

But then we get to the action around 16 minutes in. And will have to be waiting another few minutes until the actual fight starts against a completely different character. Standing in smoke, yelling, is clearly very tense and exciting. But wait, we cut away from that fight for a different one, and won't be getting to the end of that one either… and will be enduring another minute or so of chatting. So basically, even the action is more setup and teasing that perhaps next week, something will come to a head. As if they wouldn't milk a character getting shot in the chops for all its worth.
