Seraph of the End #13 — What’s Great After Recap?

October 10th, 2015

More recap!

Dog walking and then social pancakes in a little bit. Cavalry and Lesbian Fighting will be gotten to afterwards (~hourish), and likely Utawarerumono, although that airs with enough of a gap to probably not be much affected.

Impressions:

You would've thought that after spending last week on a clips episode recap, they wouldn't need to do a reintroduction to the characters this week, but if you did, then you would have been underestimating their commitment to going as slow as goddamned possible. This episode goes out to all the people who thought they could skip an obvious recap by forcing them to sit through one anyway. Didn't even put together decent action scenes in it either. Slash, dead. The end. Or slash, hold weapon at throat. Repeat for all of these. So basically, naught has changed from the very poor last season. It's still going slow as snot. The characters are still mostly milling around, waiting for something to happen. The animation and action are lacking at the best of times. Unfortunately, you're up against actual competition on a weekend this season, show, which means that you're getting the swift boot to the ass for failure to improve in the slightest.

Next Episode:

Oh no! Not his inner darkness!

5 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

  • algorithm says:

Just skip any scene without Shinoa.

  • The Phantom says:

Yea Shinoa is the only thing that I watch this show for, but who are we lying, MC will surely pick up blondie brother-cest as his husbando instead.

  • ZakuAbumi says:

Believe it or not, apparently there’s some complaining from readers of the source material on how this episode was too fast.

    Paulo27 says:

I wouldn’t doubt it for a second, sourcefags are pretty much never sane.

    Thea says:

I can totally understand them. I’d want to stay away from the upcoming training arc as far as possible, too.
