They’re kind of being jackasses.

Impressions:

Perhaps it’s time to start focusing on the supernatural stuff a bit more, like for example, introducing the monster of the week a little before the last couple minutes of the episode, and in a way that isn’t blithely tripping over it. Because without that, it’s about two teenagers fighting over who gets to seduce and exploit an underage blonde boy. The only nods to the entire premise being the world’s worst parkour as they stand on random objects. Who even goes and stands on a bed as the first thing they do when they enter a room? I know the show realizes this too, or they wouldn’t have gone into both the commercial break and the end of the episode by cutting away from the main characters entirely to a woman riding a lion fighting monster stingrays and the same woman naked and flashing her butt to the camera.

Another episode about emo boy then, but god forbid there be any actual development, or even organic storytelling when we can have Yato just stand on a… thing… and simply lecture out everything over an unrelated montage. And any creepiness from the little girl and monsters telling him how good he smells is lost because sans the distortion effects, was pretty much what Hiyori was doing five minutes prior except emotional. Which didn’t work anyway because Japan can’t have a male and female within 2 feet of each other without one trying to grope the other for comic relief.
