I don’t remember Obama’s head being that large.

It’s late and I’m tired, so my apologies if this is a little terse.

Impressions:

Well, everything went a little bit too predictably for my tastes, but I suppose it was alright overall. We’ve already gotten that Minamoto is special… above and beyond presiding over the Queen, Empress, and Goddess, so having the 17th source confirm this as part of the big climax and Carrie Carry saying good bye just felt a bit overdone. I think I would have liked to have seen more of Fujiko’s sexual harassment trip through the United States government or the Grisham vs Kyosuke fight. Heck, even more of PANDRA vs the random grunts would have been okay I think. I’m still trying to figure out A.) Why Muscle has a jetpack, and B.) What the deal is with the guy and girl. She’s taken a bullet to the head, and caught other bullets, so is assumably a telekinetic of some kind. And he… uh… by process of elimination, teleports? Which doesn’t explain why they were both just screwing around with fisticuffs while Muscle was Magnuming the entire area.

Carrie Carry’s nice and all, but she’s just not as interesting as I expected her to be and really didn’t add anything particularly new to the whole dynamic. Even Shiho and Aoi were calling the jealousy natural at the end of the episode. It’s not like 40 episodes in and we were doubting Minamoto’s resolve or conviction to help espers or his dedication to raising the girls here. I do hope that either Kyosuke or Black Phantom makes a move on her eventually. I think she’d make a pretty good antagonist, both from a power level and from a plot perspective.
