ALLTYNX 2nd Trial Released

July 21st, 2010

Siter Skain’s newest SHMUP is looking pretty neat, although I do have to say that the sword-ship is starting to get a tad bit overdone, and this one is particularly overpowered for at least stage one with its ability to simultaneously erase entire boss attacks while simultaneously inflicting absurd amounts of damage. Swords should not overpower giant beams. I guess that doesn’t help when you charge straight into the boss’ maw though. It also looks like they’re almost sort of trying to copy Ether Vapor’s amazingly cinematic presentation, but aren’t quite there yet. The second level’s giant fight against a satellite is also made of frustration when its pieces completely cover the screen, preventing you from seeing yourself or the enemy bullets. Full version’s due out in a month at Summer Comiket.
