I think I’ve reached a good balance with this show. I have no clue what’s actually going on anymore, but it’s hilarious to stick my head in and see what it’s inflicting on the world. This wasn’t even the ‘main event’ of the episode either. That was reserved for a skeet shooting contest between Rio and her ‘close friend’ that she sleeps naked with. Totally not lesbians though. Straight as the rainbow alliance known as Nanoha and Fate. Clothes explode on missed shots, but unfortunately, they only miss four between them and lose a hat, arm band, and two buttons off shorts and a vest betwen them combined. There’s not even a metaworld. Just some crazy foreign… thing… swearing at me. Pathetic, Rio. Pathetic.
Just because I’m slammed with classwork today and probably won’t have time to do a full writeup on anything in the timespan… Apparently this week’s Rio has the actress get possessed by a chicken wing scarfing ghost and Rio has to play a single hand of craps to… uh… dispossess her. That’s not even how craps works. This is getting to the point where it’s so horrible that I can’t look away. I’m not even watching this, just flipping through to see what fresh horror it inflicts upon the world. Sigh.
Well, I gave it a second chance and barely lasted 5 minutes. They introduce a klutz who destroys the entire casino with her butt, and then Rio is forced into a roulette duel (how does that even work?) which transports them into a magical volleyball field where giant numbers explode out of the beach to assist them. By winning magical volleyball, Rio makes the roulette ball go into the right slot. This is some Through The Looking Glass level nonsense here. At least she’s not stroking the one-armed bandit… yet. Stay classy, Xebec. Thus begins my own quest to find some kind of alternative to fill Tuesdays/Wednesdays for the next three months.
